WEEK #76 - Merry CHRISTmas!

Christmas is on the way everyone!

Last preparation day was pretty fun. One of the Chinese members took us to a Chinese tiger temple, an Iban longhouse with real skulls, and the highest point in Sibu! Look at the pics!

  Tiger Temple!

 Fishy fishy fishy
 Splits anyone?
 Sibu!
 Bam. Long house.

 REAL skulls. In someone's house.

Monday morning we got a call from Sister Pinny, the recent convert. She said, "Elders! I just talked to someone at a restaurant. I asked what he was drinking and he said coffee. He asked me if I drink coffee and I said no! I explained to him all the changes my family has had in the Church. Here is a card!" What a stud! She is a great example of what a member missionary looks like. Missionary work isn't just sharing the gospel with your friends and family, but random people you get the opportunity to share the gospel with!

Haircut time!

My parents sent a pair of cat/dog ties to me and my companion.
Christmas cat and dog ties!

The best part about the ties is that it lights up and plays "jingle bells" with the barks and meows of the respective animals haha. As we were walking we stopped by this guy and showed him our ties. He had us sit with him and share about Jesus Christ. His name is Boy, 26, and works as a crane manager. So prepared! He said as a youth he would always follow his mom to her church, but his father would go to a different church. He thought to himself, "Why can't there just be one church?" At the end of the lesson, he said, "I know God sent you to me. This is what I've been searching for." So amazing.
Wednesday was officially my 6th month left mark. WHAT. I tried not having a heart attack.

Bowling!

Too strong the pin came out!

Look at our bowling socks! Thanks mom!

Guess what? Randy is on date! "On date" simply means someone has a specific baptism date to be baptized as a member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It's February 2nd! That would be so funny if I could baptize someone that has the same name as my dad! All the members went caroling with us to his house which was the most member presents we've had ever!

 Real elders wear pink

Some Sister's parents sent them two blow up dinasour costumes. Elder Cox and I dressed up in them and tickled Elder Hong. It was hilarious!!

Dino suitsssss

We tried to meet Boy later on this week but he's been busy with work. We managed to set up a video call for the end of the week. The day of we went to this random place for dinner. He's who we saw? Boy! We read the Book of Mormon with him.

DURIANNNNNNN. THE BEST/MOST STINKIEST FRUIT EVER!

Christmas is coming up! Make time for your family and Christ. That is all I could ever ask for!
Crazy good fruit! Rambutan

Loveeeeeeeeeee you bye!
