It doesn't look like Christmas here in Malaysia, nor will it ever!
Kuching!
I'm excited for the true meaning of Christmas though!

The first half of the week was traveling, traveling, traveling! We went to Singapore for Zone Conference. A zone is simply a group of missionaries within a certain area.

You can see the church out of the airplane!!
We watched the Christmas Devotional broadcasted to the world. I liked President Nelson's talk about the 4 gifts that Christ have given us:

We watched the Christmas Devotional broadcasted to the world. I liked President Nelson's talk about the 4 gifts that Christ have given us:
1. Unlimited capacity to love
2. Ability to forgive
3. Repentance.
4. A promise of eternal life
Exchanges in Singapore!
Here's a summary of the rest of zone Conference:
-good things come through hard things
-cheerfully do everything in our power
-repentance isn't just to stop doing what's wrong but start doing what's right.
-The person I need to become cannot have the traits and habits I have now.
Elder Cox and I along with some Sibu Sisters sang the primary song "Samuel Tells of the Baby Jesus." It was actually really awesome. I'll send a practice recording.
Can you see what it says?
We stayed a couple days in Singapore and did missionary work. Just because Singapore and Sibu begin with the first two letters doesn't mean it's the same type of missionary work. There are SO many people to talk to and SO many opportunities to share the gospel. I was pretty worn out haha.
After arriving in Sibu, we dropped off our bags. As we were about to get on our bikes and go to a different place, we heard our neighbors outside. They are Iban! Ibans very rarely live in good homes. We live in a Chinese area, so these Ibans are really well off. Elder Cox and I tried to contact them before but they weren't interested. I felt like I needed to go there anyways. When we showed up at the front of their house their brother was there. Wanna know what his name was? RANDY. Yup. My dad. He's my dad haha. I told him that and he laughed. He was way down to meet and we set a return appointment for the next day. We met him and his wife along with some extended family. He came to church along with his family. After church he told us "This church really is true. In other churches people just come for an hour and leave. There are actually classes here and members really seem to follow Jesus Christ." He is really prepared. Thanks Dad! ;)
Hope everyone prepares for Christmas by serving and loving others!
