Hai Everyone!

Roti Tisu
District Council was titled: "Yearn for the Concern." Everyone has a concern! Whether it's social or spiritual, there are problems to be solved. When we resolve concerns we produce progression! This principle can be applied to many situations in life.
We met Owen later that day. He is from Sabah, in East Malaysia. He has a true desire to follow Jesus Christ and His church. We shared with Him the Plan of Salvation, or God's plan of happiness. Jesus Christ saves us from physical and spiritual death. We all die and we all sin. These things separate us from God. Through Jesus Christ, physical salvation is free to all mankind (because He was resurrected, we too, good or evil, will have a resurrected, perfect body). Through Jesus Christ, spiritual salvation is also free, but only to those who obey and honor His commandments and ordinances. Those who are baptized in His name by someone holding the proper Priesthood authority of God and remain faithful throughout the course of their lives will live in the Celestial kingdom or "heaven." Obedience is the first law of Heaven :) We invited Owen to be baptized and he accepted. We asked him to say the closing prayer, and during the prayer to ask God, "Should I should be baptized?" When he actually said the prayer, he instead said, "Can I be baptized?" Both Elder Judd and I smiled a bit as he said that. It was a tender moment. I'm sure Heavenly Father was smiling too :) We set the date for October 6th.
Thursday was my older brother Kyler's Brithday!! 22?? Yikes! He has always been my bigger brother and that's the way I like it! He's set the example for me and my siblings in all aspects of His life. He is married now which is still a little strange, but I can always look to him for advice and counsel. Happy birthday Brother!
That night we went over to Awie's house. I brought some American candie along for them to try. You should've seen their faces!! For them, the majority tasted like soap, straight sugar, or really really sour. I didn't realize just how sweet American candy is!
Friday was fun! We went bowling for a church activity. A lot of people came and got a lot of strikes!
We were riding past a security guard one day and he flagged us down. The only words he said was, "I want to go to your church. I want to follow Jesus." we didn't complain! He is from India, and follows the hindu religion. It is always special to teach someone about their Savior for the first time!
Saturday night was a big and special night. Brother Awie's family had their baptismal interview. Before someone is baptized, they are asked questions to see if they have a testimony and are ready to be baptized. THE WHOLE FAMILY PASSED. My previous companion, Elder Sorensen interviewed them. He said they are very very special and unique. It's true. I've never met a more prepared family in my life. This is our purpose as missionaries. To bring families the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ in this life, so they can keep covanents that will make them an eternal family in the next life! They will be baptized next Saturday.
Baptism Invitation
What a week! Miracles happen. Look for them! Thanks for getting to the end of this email without falling asleep!
Love you all!
