We had the opportunity to go to zone conference in Singapore this week!! I learned so much on such important things!

Singaporeeeeeeeee
We really emphasized the power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ in our life. Do we realize just how blessed we are?
He hears our souls complaint. He is the source of our healing. Here are some thoughts from Zone Conference:
-Experience is sometimes wasted. When we have to go through the same experience, it's harder the second time. By looking at each experience in a positive way TRAINS our souls to endure trials.
- Ask yourself, "Can I do this through the Atonement of Jesus Christ?"
- We can control our thoughts and feelings on the inside even when we can't control things on the outside.
-We are given weaknesses so that we can rely on Christ.
We listened to a very powerful talk given by Thomas Griffith entitled," The Root of Christianity." I encourage you all to read or listen to it. It really outlines the sole purpose of our life on earth and by what source we are saved. When Jesus Christ was suffering, He remembered us. When we suffer, do we remember Him? We remember Him by taking the sacrament. If our hearts are full, there is no space for anything else. That is why we come with broken hearts. That is when our hearts are filled with joy. :)
It was a great zone conference! Afterwards for a zone activity we went to watch a light show. Singapore has these huge electronic trees that are programmed with different songs and have light up patterns. When we got there, it was some classic Disney songs๐ Then we went to the Lazer light show! They make cool designs with lazors on top of mist machines in the lake. Its hard to describe. Very sweet!
Light show!!
On the way back home, we had some great experiences. While Elder Bennion and I were waiting to board the next plane, a man walked over to us and mentioned he'd been to Utah before! Elder Bennion was wearing a Utah Ute's shirt. (Don't worry Dad, I forgave Elder Bennion for his decision :D).

He also said he's been to church a couple of times. He is from New Zealand and is working for an oil company. Previously he was working as a Chef and a cop. He was also a body guard for (No joke) : LeBron James, Cobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Lincoln Park, Justin Bieber, and more! When we got off the flight, we ended up seeing him again. We had a lay over in KL, so he said he would take us to the 1st class golden lounge area! He was a platinum member, so we got access to everything. There were showers and saunas, personal chefs, tons and tons of food and drinks, and nice views. This guy was so nice! We were absolute strangers. And now if feels like we have known each other for 20 years. If more people were like that, it would be a better world.

When your so busy your lunch is eating half of a dry "ramon" package
On Friday there was a baptism for President Irak's daughter and another members son. That morning, a major pipe had a huge leak. All of Miri, 15,000 people were without water. They couldn't fill the font, so we were going to cancel the baptism. Luckily we all kept a prayer in our hearts, and a couple hours before the baptism, the water started working again! Prayer is powerful when you powerfully pray. :)

When your wallet is so full you can pay with straight coins.
On Sunday one of our appointments fell through (meaning they canceled or weren't there), and so we visited a PI (remember what a PI stands for? ๐) They are a very sweet couple. They live in a house the size of a good sized bathroom. The wife only has one leg, but still keeps her personality. They were very kind and the lesson was great. Afterwards, she gave us a big bag of IBAN rice! Now, this isn't just any bag of rice. It was hand picked in kampung (their hometown village). It's a lot better than normal rice! Also, I noticed they had an ANTLER in their house!! I told them all my adventures looking for antlers in America. Up until now, I've only seen deer skulls, but never an actual antler. They had one! At the end of the lesson, they ended up GIVING me the antler! Seriously the nicest couple ever! I got excited for antler hunting season and wanted to start jungle trekking right then and there haha.
Our PI gave us an antler!!!!! Dreams can come true!
This is called blancon. One of the worst smells you will ever taste. It is grinded up shrimp mixed in with salt and chilies. They dry it out in the sun to evaporate all the guts and juices of the shrimp. I was kind enough to place a pass along card (meaning the little card we give out with our number and the church's website) in with the mix of blancon. Hopefully someone looks at it :)
I'm grateful for this Easter season. It's not about bunnies and bundles of candy, but something remarkable. Something that requires the gratitude of all mankind. Jesus Christ, the Savior and Redeemer of the Lord, is risen. Because of his resurrection(meaning after three days he basically came back to life) we each have a personalized gift of that same resurrection. In the Book of Mormon, there is a scripture about this event!
This is in Alma, chapter 22 verse 14:
"And since man had fallen he could not merit anything of himself; but the sufferings and death of Christ atone for their sins, through faith and repentance, and so forth; and that he breaketh the bands of death, that the grave shall have no victory, and that the sting of death should be swallowed up in the hopes of glory..."
Through Jesus Christ, death is not the end! We can live with our families forever if we hearken to His counsel! Yes we are all saved by His grace, but are we changed by His grace?
This is a great Easter video produced by the Church. I encourage you all to watch it and ponder the true meaning of Easter:

When I think that an easter egg dye pill is candy.....it was a horrible experience.
And general conference is actually next week for Asia countries, so I'll give a good update on that next email!
Love you all so much! See ya'll next time :D
